The
best bet in matching gel-coat colors is to match to the original color
rather than trying to match faded colors. Find a spot under the rubrail
or an area that is covered and away from the sun.............
Transoms can, in most cases, be built then installed
as opposed to laminating each separate layer in place in the boat but
care
must be exercised to keep the panels flat and not develop a
twist........
Be
sure to test fit everything! Once you have catalyzed the resin your
time
is then limited... I like to build the whole step in my mind as I am
getting
my materials together. Then make a dry run on stuff like transom or
stringers.
You can never have too many clamps or braces.
